SparkChain Network Summary

SparkChain Network operates as an Arbitrum Orbit chain, leveraging Anytrust technology to deliver high-speed performance and ultra-low costs. Unlike most Orbit chains, which are typically "self-managed," SparkChain Network benefits from direct technical support from Offchain Labs. This exclusive support sets SparkChain Network apart as a strategic gaming initiative within the Arbitrum ecosystem.

The growth and strategic direction of the SparkChain Network ecosystem are overseen by the SparkChain Foundation, with Offchain Labs providing technical assistance under its guidance. Unlike other Orbit chains, SparkChain Network features a canonical bridge within the Arbitrum ecosystem. Additionally, SparkChain Network introduces several unique enhancements, including higher gas and contract limits, creating an optimized environment for ambitious blockchain game development and gameplay. Finally, SparkChain Network has its own dedicated gas fee token, known as $SPARK.

Nitro

Every Arbitrum chain is constructed upon Arbitrum Nitro, which functions as the core technology of the ecosystem. Nitro runs a modified version of Geth and utilizes WebAssembly (Wasm) as its virtual machine for producing fraud proofs. For further details about Nitro, you can click here.

Anytrust

This Arbitrum protocol oversees data availability through a designated group of participants referred to as the Data Availability Committee (DAC). By adding an extra layer of trust for data availability, this protocol helps lower transaction fees, unlike Ethereum’s trustless data availability approach.

Arbitrum L2s

Arbitrum Nova serves as an example of an AnyTrust chain, while Arbitrum One represents an alternative that utilizes the entirely trustless (and more L1-gas intensive) Arbitrum Rollup Protocol. Both of these chains are developed on the Nitro framework.

Orbit Chains

Arbitrum Orbit enables third parties to establish their own self-governing Arbitrum Rollup and AnyTrust chains. Arbitrum provides both Rollup and AnyTrust technologies, allowing for optimal flexibility in the creation of Orbit chains. Like all chains within the Arbitrum ecosystem, both Arbitrum Rollups and AnyTrust Orbit chains are constructed using Nitro as their foundational technology.
